Need to Convert Web Images from Raster to Vector

Raster images are stored in pixels. Vector images are stored as shapes. All sorts of editing operations can be conducted on Vector images with ease. This makes it important to stored web images in Vector form rather than Raster form.

In order to understand why web images need to be converted from the raster to the vector format the two types of formats must be known. It is also important to know what are the pros and cons of storing images in each of the format. Images that are stored in the raster format stores images in the form of pixels. Raster format images can be edited with the help of a bitmap editor. If a Raster image has to be edited then a change has to be made to all the pixels that comprise the image. It is a mammoth and tedious task. Vector images are those images, which are stored in the form of shapes. This format is easier to handle and enables the functionality of shaping, sizing, orienting and moving an image with much aplomb.
